Oscar winner Anthony won Best Actor for playing Hannibal Lecter in the film The Silence of the Lambs (1991).

Movie maestro He has starred in more than 70 films, including and The Remains of the Day (1993) and Nixon (1995).

Robot man His most recent TV role was as robotics genius and park director Dr Robert Ford in Sky Atlantic’s Westworld.

Anthony takes on another lead role as Shakespear­e’s tragic play King Lear is brought to life in a BBC2 adaptation. Anthony plays the ruler who presides over a totalitari­an military dictatorsh­ip in the film, which is set in the present day. Lear descends into madness after he passes control to only two of his three daughters, played by Emma Thompson, Emily Watson and Florence Pugh. The all-star cast also includes Jim Broadbent, Christophe­r Eccleston and Jim Carter.
