Debbie has been living on edge ever since Ross had acid thrown in his face. Though the attack was meant for Joe Tate, it was Debbie who’d paid drug dealer Simon to harm him. The mix-up has ruined Ross’ life and Debbie doesn’t want the terrible truth to leak out.
Over time, however, people have been dragged into her secret: Debbie’s dad, Cain, his wife, Moira, Joe Tate… even Ross himself now knows! But, this week, Debbie’s worst fears are realised as her loved ones learn just how low she can go.
The shock reveal is sparked by a failed date. When Ross thinks Rebecca has blown him out for lunch, he ends up sleeping with druggy prostitute Dawn, and the fallout of Ross’ mistake is epic.
With Pete already strung out over his brother’s depression,
Ross’ latest upset tips him over the edge. In The
Woolpack, Pete accuses Debbie of ruining his brother’s life.

Debbie’s family, Pete implies that Debbie was behind the attack…
Ushered into the back room, Debbie tells Chas and Sarah that Pete is right – and they are horrified.
Disgusted
Sarah refuses to have anything to do with her mum. Debbie later tells Charity and Vanessa, while Faith tries to get Sarah back on side, but to no avail.
