Daz arrested!
As his attempt to rescue Amelia goes wrong, he’s detained…
After finding out she was Daz Spencer’s biological daughter, not Dan’s, young Amelia vanished a few weeks ago. What the Spencers don’t know is that Amelia is holed up in a flat with a young woman called Beth, who befriended her.
Meanwhile, the police search for the schoolgirl has gone on and on. There’s been a televised appeal for information – and the prime suspect is Daz, as far as Dan and Kerry are concerned.
But worried Daz, who has recently been anonymously approached for ransom, maintains he has no idea where Amelia is. Having been asked about vendettas, however, he’s admitted to the police that he accidentally killed someone when he was in the Army.
Escape
This week Daz heads out to meet Amelia’s kidnapper, armed with a heavy tool, but Beth spots this and flees!
As the situation unravels, Amelia seizes a chance to make a run for it. Beth gives chase and, on catching up with Amelia, reveals that Daz killed her dad… When Daz then spots them, Beth tells Amelia to run. But will she?
Later, a bewildered Daz is arrested by the police for Amelia’s kidnap…
‘It seems clear to Daz that by bringing Amelia back, people would finally believe him and then start to investigate why it happened,’ says Mark Jordon, who plays him.
‘But everyone thinks he’s just brought her back because he was too close to being discovered.’
