Stuart pins the shooting on Mick…
Since the shock shooting in The Vic everyone wants to know whodunit! Various arrests have already been made but when the victim, Stuart Highway, comes round in hospital this week, it’s hoped the speculation will end.
‘Everyone is thinking, as soon as Stuart wakes up he will do the right thing and tell the truth,’ says Ricky Champ, who plays the villain.
But Halfway reels when his dodgy brother asks to see him and announces Mick Carter pulled the trigger!
‘Mick was always going to have the finger pointed at him – as were all of the Carters,’ says Ricky. ‘Shirley was supposedly outside having a fag and Linda was supposedly upstairs. No one knows who actually did it.’
Revelling in the situation, Stuart talks to DI Arthurs, while conflicted Halfway rushes back to The Vic to tell Mick what’s going on. As the Carters wonder whether Mick should make a run for it, the police arrive to arrest him!
After Stuart gives an official statement, furious Linda arrives and lets rip at the thug. As she’s ushered out by the police, she appeals to Stuart’s daughter, Zara, to believe her. Zara, however, goes on to corroborate her dad’s story.
Later, back at The Vic, Linda receives a call from Mick who needs legal help ahead of his imminent bail hearing. Can Linda find a decent legal eagle to hire and throw her desperate husband a lifeline?
