Q What was it like to tour around Europe with This Morning’s Gino D’Acampo and First Dates star Fred Sirieix? A You rarely find three guys who bond the way we have. If there was ever a marriage made in heaven, it has to be a Scotsman, an Italian and a Frenchman! Q During the three-part series you visit each other’s homelands of Italy, France and Scotland to prepare special feasts. Which was best? A The Italian cuisine in the first episode is very simple as it focuses on the ingredients. Fred takes us to France, and it’s very laidback. But the best food comes from Scotland. There were hand-dived scallops, amazing beef and incredible whisky. I got Fred and Gino in kilts and we all entered the Highland Games! Q What can you reveal about this week’s visit to Italy? A Gino dropped us in it in Naples because he just went off when we were following him on scooters! It was bedlam. He also took us to his home in Sardinia. Villa D’Acampo is a chateau with breathtaking views, vineyards and olive trees. Q Was it stressful preparing a wedding feast for Gino’s friends’ vow renewal? A Whenever I get set a challenge, I turn into a different beast. I put my heart and soul into it. It was on a beach and we had a power cut, but I stay calm in those situations – Fred and Gino were panicking. Q You took turns driving the van. Who’s the best driver? A Gino has the attention span of a four-year-old. He lost half the bumper and banked the van when he was reversing. Fred should be a police officer. He’s so rigid and stubborn. My driving is exemplary! Q And which of you is the biggest diva? A Fred and Gino are too pampered. One day they were late to meet up. Gino was having a manicure and pedicure, while Fred was having a facial. Fred dyes his eyelashes!
