A night out with Martin and Stacey ends alarmingly for Ruby…
Aharmless reunion at the E20 results in a nightmare for Stacey, her mate Ruby Allen, husband Martin and his old schoolmates, Matt, Glenn and Ross.
After a few drinks, Martin and Stacey head home leaving Ruby to it. She’s having fun and getting on well with Ross. In the morning, the party-goers have a story to tell – with two very different endings…
As Martin meets up for a hungover breakfast with the boys, he’s taken aback to hear Ruby slept with both Ross and Matt. Elsewhere, Stacey hears different from Ruby, who has to buy the morning-after pill.
Conflicted
‘Ruby sleeps with Ross, falls asleep and wakes up to find Matt having sex with her,’ explains Louisa Lytton, who plays her. ‘Stacey tells her she’s been raped. But Ruby’s view is “Well no, because I didn’t stop him”.’
‘But Stacey points out that Ruby didn’t say yes, and didn’t choose to have sex with him,’ continues Louisa. ‘From then on it’s what was right and wrong, what Ruby should have done and what she shouldn’t.’
When Stacey and Martin catch up, they realise what they have been told doesn’t match up. Stacey’s adamant that Ruby’s been raped – but is Martin on the same page? Stacey urges Ruby to go to a clinic to get the evidence logged in case she decides to press charges later down the line…
