‘When Zsa Zsa gets David’s call she can tell something is wrong,’ explains Sharon Gless, who first played Zsa Zsa last year. ‘The first time you see her, she’s flown in to Holby and is pounding on Connie’s door!’
Dramatic entrance
Zsa Zsa’s feet hardly touch the ground before she’s embroiled in a jaw-dropping showdown with Connie (Amanda Mealing) and recruits timid David (Jason Durr) to help her locate Dylan.
‘Zsa Zsa doesn’t wait for an answer, she goes in to Connie’s office and they have their first unpleasant meeting,’ says Cagney & Lacey star Sharon.
Meanwhile, Dylan’s knocking drinks back with his alcoholic dad, Brian (Matthew Marsh), in a karaoke bar. Soon Dylan and his dad become involved in a drunken brawl that leaves Brian fighting for his life… Can Zsa Zsa use her brain surgery skills to save him?
‘The surgery is a little out of control because it isn’t in a theatre but Zsa Zsa’s very inventive,’ says Sharon. ‘The fake blood didn’t bother me but the medical dialogue was so lengthy that I had to plaster it on a wall! Zsa Zsa is both funny and serious. I hope Casualty invite me back!’
