Q Did you watch the Royal Variety as a child? A Yes, we watched it as a family when I was little so it has very special memories for me. A lot of my heroes have performed on that stage at the London Palladium so it’s amazing to follow in their footsteps. Q Can you hint at what your routine will involve? A It will be mischievous but most of all funny. There may be one or two jokes especially for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I can’t wait to meet them. They’re the coolest royals. Q How nervous will you be on stage? A It’s going to be nerveracking. Never did I expect to be performing in front of the Royal Family. It’s been a great year for me and this is the icing on the cake. I just hope I don’t hit the wrong button and swear! Q Take That, Rick Astley and the cast of Hamilton are also taking part. Who are you excited about meeting? A I’m very excited to meet Take That. I’m secretly hoping they’ll let me be the new Robbie Williams and we can have a No.1 hit together. I’ve got a great singing voice, after all! And Greg Davies, who’s hosting. I’ve always loved his stand-up. Q Have the Britain’s Got Talent judges given you any tips since your win? A Yes, I speak to Simon quite a lot and got invited to his summer party, and David came to see my show at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in August. Q How has winning BGT changed your life? A Massively! It’s opened a lot of doors for me. I’m going on a UK tour next year and I’m writing a book called I’m Only in It for the Parking. I get recognised a lot now, and people congratulate me on my success. I’m flattered by it all.
