Robert ditches his plan with Kate when Michelle agrees to try for a child
Robert’s desperate for a child of his own, but with Michelle already the mother of two grown-up sons and having tragically lost a baby not so long ago, she’s less than keen on the idea of going there again.
But this week reluctant Michelle has a rethink and tells Robert she’s up for them trying for a child of their own.
She has no idea that he’s been making baby plans elsewhere and is hoping to father a child with broody Kate!
Having kept their partners, Rana and Michelle, in the dark about their parenting plan, Kate and Robert press on and furtively arrange an initial consultation at a fertility clinic. Lying about where he’s going, Robert’s in hot water when Ryan tries to track him down.
Sneaking around
His lie gets back to worried Michelle who turns to Carla, confiding they’re at odds over starting a family. Later, Michelle demands to know where Robert’s been. But instead of coming clean, he lies again, saying that he needed some time to think.
After a narrow escape at the fertility clinic – where Kate is forced to hide in a cupboard to avoid Michelle, who’s there for a counselling session – they decide to go ahead with the IVF and are bracing themselves to have ‘the conversation’ with their partners.
However, as Robert gears up to tell Michelle his big news, he’s blown away when she says she’s happy to start trying for a family after all!
With that, Robert wants to back out of his plan with Kate. Can he get to her before she comes clean to Rana?
