So Sally’s been sentenced to four years in prison, Tim thinks she’s cheated on him, and Gina’s fallen in love with her brother-in-law and is messing with the Metcalfes’ marriage.

As the dust settles on Sally’s sentencing, Sophie’s upset is compounded when Paula gives her with a huge legal bill and rejects the idea of an appeal.
Sophie heads to her mum’s house to talk it over with Tim, suggesting he sells his shares in Street Cars to cover the costs, and reels at his refusal. Later, Tim puts No.4 on the market!
From prison, Sally calls her husband but Gina answers and, once again, plays the couple off against each other.
‘It’s not easy, all this,’ says Connie Hyde of her bipolar character, Gina. ‘None of this is planned. Gina does irrational things without thinking.’
By the time ‘betrayed’ Tim gets to celebrating Christmas at his work do, he’s in a dark place and gets hammered. He’s angrily telling his colleagues his wife’s cheated and he should do the same… when Gina walks in!
As Tim’s antics spiral and see him singing carols on Victoria Street, Gina corrals him back to No.4. There, Tim thanks
Gina for her support and plants a kiss on her!
‘Ordinarily with Sally at home, Gina’s not really a threat,’ says
Connie. ‘But Sally’s in prison, so that’s a different dynamic.’
