A royal rift?

Have Kate and Meghan really fallen out..?

-

When Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle on 19 May 2018, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s two eldest children, George and Charlotte, were pageboy and flower girl and it seemed Meghan and Kate couldn’t be closer.

But since then, the media has been rife with speculation that there’s actually a rift between the pair. This new documentary speculates about the two royals being at war…

It was recently claimed they had a row before the wedding after Meghan was rude to one of Kate’s staff and then left her in tears over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s dress.

And Harry and Meghan won’t be moving in to the Kensington Palace apartment next door to William and Kate. Instead they plan to move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

‘Any family has its ups and downs and the Windsors are no different,’ said royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. ‘All the signs are that Kate and Meghan do get on but may have little in common.

Working it out

‘Kate is going to be Queen Consort one day and Meghan is a humanitarian campaigner whose husband is sixth in line to the throne. This gives her far more independence, which someone of her talents and extrovert personality needs.’

Prince Harry has previously said: ‘Working with family, of course it has its challenges, but look, we’re stuck together for the rest of our lives.’
