Deadly gamble!

As an investigation into the office bugging is launched, Sam’s world is turned upside down…

Sam’s in a panic after officials at the trading company she cleans for uncovered the listening device she’d secretly planted in dodgy trader Blake’s office in order to listen in on his illegal ‘insider’ dealings.

Blake’s since been suspended and, as an investigation at the firm is launched, Sam (Sheridan Smith) and her cleaning colleagues are summoned to a meeting with head of compliance, Frances Howard.

‘These cleaners are in the offices late at night, so Frances wants anyone who may have seen or heard anything relating to what’s been found to come forward,’ says Prey star Rosie Cavaliero, who plays Frances. ‘The cleaners are practically invisible, so Frances isn’t suspicious of Sam at all.’

Disguise

Meanwhile, Jess (Jade Anouka) has found a hidden phone in Blake’s office containing text messages relating to all his illegal trades and a contact for a business associate known as Swanny. Against Jess’ advice, Sam takes a huge risk and makes contact with Swanny, disguising herself as Blake’s silent partner, ‘Nancy’.

Swanny (Lloyd Owen) is intrigued and invites her out for dinner at a posh restaurant to discuss an illicit property deal. But when another mystery associate joins the party, Sam is in for a very big shock…

Rosie reveals she was delighted to reunite with Sheridan on Cleaning Up.

‘I first worked with Sheridan when she was 22 on a sitcom with Paul O’Grady called Eyes

Down, set in a bingo hall,’ she explains. ‘We’re both terrible gigglers and we did get a bit giggly sometimes on set for

Cleaning Up. We just set each

other off!’
