As grieving mum Sharon returns, is she in the Square for Phil – or baby Kayden?

Phil’s stunned when Sharon pitches up in Walford without warning this week. With the couple having already patched up their differences and bonded over their grief for Sharon’s dead son, Denny, there’s now lots to decide. Is she ready to move in with Phil? And what about her baby boy Kayden, the love child who’s currently being raised by his nan Karen Taylor?

Struggling to be back in the Square, Sharon soon turns to Linda for support. Accepting Sharon’s decision to get back with Phil, Linda gives them her blessing to take over The Vic.

Doubt

The happy moment falls flat when Karen pitches up for a drink with Billy. As upset Sharon and Linda disappear upstairs, they find some of Dennis’ things, making matters worse. Linda listens as Sharon wonders aloud whether she was right to give up Kayden.

In a bid to squash her unsettling doubt, Sharon tries to distract herself.

Later, Karen finds Sharon curled up asleep with her baby boy. Touched, she rouses the mum and insists it’s not too late to change her mind about the arrangement, which is due to see Karen leave the area to raise Kayden elsewhere…

Panicked, Sharon rushes off in a quandary. As she and Phil go on to toast their future as ‘just the two of them’, is it what the mum wants? Or is she really yearning for her babe in arms?
