Harriet is absolutely gobsmacked that Will has popped the question.
It’s not just that their relationship is currently more off than on, but she’s also slept with his arch enemy, dodgy DI Malone. The vicar is racked with guilt as Will pours his heart out, desperate to resume their happy home life at Woodbine. And although Harriet recently dumped him for his lies and secret life of crime, she accepts!
Unaware of the U-turn engagement, Malone is trying to get hold of his secret lover, but Harriet blanks his call.

Meanwhile, on cloud nine, Will decides they must throw a party to celebrate. Feeling like a hypocrite, to deflect attention, Harriet asks Moira to share the party with them as it’s her birthday.
As the locals gather to congratulate the engaged couple and pay tribute to their strong relationship, Harriet cringes.
