Fenisha Khatri is determined to keep her pregnancy secret this week, despite her morning sickness! But will she tell all when fate intervenes?
Ethan (George Rainsford) is clueless that Fenisha changed her mind about a termination and that he’s due to be a dad.
‘Ethan will end up finding out,’ says Olivia D’Lima, who plays strong-minded medic Fenisha. ‘But I don’t know if she’s ready to see his face drop! She was crushed when he was relieved at the thought of her having a termination. Also, she thinks as soon as people know, they’ll want to stick their oar in and get involved!’
This week, in the line of duty, Fenisha fearlessly puts her life at risk to save a wrestler pinned under lighting rigging, despite paramedic boss Jan Jenning insisting they wait for the fire service!
Dilemma
Fenisha quickly realises she should have listened to Jan (Di Botcher) when more rigging collapses! Fortunately, she only injures her foot, but Jan’s furious and orders her to get checked over.
Ethan does the honours, and asks Fenisha how she is after everything that’s happened. Touched by his concern, will Fenisha open up and tell Ethan he’s going to be a dad? Meanwhile, Jan is enraged with unrepentant Fenisha and sparks fly!
‘There’s a lot of hurt and anger in these scenes. Fenisha is very independent but can be a bit naive in her belief that she knows everything, in both work and her personal life,’ reveals Olivia. ‘Fenisha very much lives in the moment – which is how she ends up in these messes!’
