Moira is going to regret popping to the church to see Harriet this week, as it puts her in serious danger!
In the vestry, Harriet’s about to get steamy with her secret lover, Malone, when Moira arrives and clearly interrupts something. Harriet’s unable to lie to Moira, who reels as her friend admits she’s been sleeping with the dodgy DI, and reveals Moira’s estranged husband Cain and Harriet’s fiancé Will have been tangled up in Malone’s dirty work.
Playing with fire
When Cain learns Malone is back on the scene, he confronts him. But Malone’s not fazed and instead toys with Cain…
‘Malone insinuates that maybe there’s something going on with him and Moira. He pushes all of Cain’s buttons,’ says Jeff Hordley, AKA Cain, who takes the bait and assumes that Malone and Moira are having an affair!
Moira, however, is on Malone’s radar but not in that way. With her in the know about Harriet, he wants a word. Descending on Butlers, he breaks in and threatens her!
‘Moira pretends she’s not scared, but she realises that she’s dealing with a real bad egg,’ says
Natalie J Robb, who plays her. ‘As soon as he leaves, you can see that she’s very afraid of him.’
Spying on the farm from afar, jealous
Cain sees Malone and becomes all the more convinced that the cop’s sleeping with Moira.
As he stews on the issue, his misunderstanding causes tension. But Cain is left riddled with guilt when his ex becomes the subject of a hit-and-run…
Is it Malone who leaves Moira fighting for her life?
