3 January, 10am ITV Factual

Alan Titchmarsh is back for more crafts, winter walks and celeb chat in the barn, with guests this series including Kirsty Gallacher and Deborah Meaden. There’s also a spot of flower arranging with Simon Lycett and expert garden advice from David Domoney. Look out for Lesley Joseph’s Wild Flower of the Week.

Gardening guru, presenter and author Alan Titchmarsh is looking forward to bringing the great outdoors into our homes once again as he returns for a second series of his Sunday morning show.

Packed with arts and crafts inspiration and experts, including international florist Simon Lycett and horticulturist David Domoney, the series is a celebration of the great British countryside.

Traditional skills

‘It’s the magic of country life in its broadest sense,’ explains Alan. ‘We’ve covered all sorts of country skills like thatching and drystone walling. It’s about banishing the mystique of the country.’

There’ll be a new batch of celebrities popping in to the Hampshire barn, which doubles as a studio, starting with presenter Kirsty Gallacher and Father Brown actor Nancy Carroll. Lesley Joseph will also be back presenting regular slot Wild Flower of the Week.

‘People tend to think of nature as being birds and animals, meaning wild flowers and plants often don’t get a look in,’ says Alan. ‘It’s lovely to bring them to people’s attention.’

This series also features items on wild swimming, rare breeds and foraging, as well as a new strand called Walk on the Wild Side.

‘We’re getting people to send in photos of their wintry walks,’ says Alan. ‘It’s wonderful to have people sharing their experiences.’
