Cameron Dunn has a new nemesis this week. Under the scheming medic’s orders, junior doctor Skylar makes a big mistake by giving a patient, Harvey, a drug he’s allergic to. As Harvey deteriorates, Skylar insists she was only doing what she was told, but Cameron denies having given her the order. Who will their bosses believe? Also, after being hostile towards him up to now, Donna starts to warm to Xavier’s brother Alex. But with Xavier still on her mind, Donna’s wary of getting too close…
Jac Naylor vowed to stand by lover Kian Madani after learning he’d once battled a painkiller addiction, but she’s unaware he’s still hiding a drug habit. And, this week, it looks like he’s about to be exposed…
Kian (Ramin Karimloo) is rattled when a hospital-wide drugs test is ordered, and Jac wants him to complete his ASAP given his ‘history’. Desperate to appear drugfree, quick-thinking Kian uses the urine sample of a patient – athlete Stacey – as his own.
But he’s left fearing he could be rumbled when he learns Stacey’s been using performanceenhancing drugs, which could show up in the sample…
Kian’s relieved when the test comes back clear, and Jac apologises for doubting him. But it makes Kian realise he’s tired of lying, so he confesses to Jac that he’s still an addict.
Jac hates Kian for putting her in such an awkward position, and vows to expose him.
Kian says he can’t fight his addiction alone and tells Jac he loves her. Will Jac decide to stick by Kian and help him kick the habit for good?
‘Jac eventually manages to push everyone away and maybe that’s what’ll happen again,’ says Rosie Marcel, who plays Jac. ‘But she clearly thinks Kian is worth a try.’
