As ruthless Ray continues with his plans to redevelop the Street, could it be that the businessman is about to be brought down by his ex and main enemy, Abi Franklin?

This week, Ray and business partner Debbie get ready to take ownership of Nos. 4 and 6, whose current residents are the Metcalfe family and Yasmeen.

But things grind to a halt when Ray has a cash crisis, having blown all their investment money paying off gangster Mick Chaney and attempting to bribe Susan, the chairperson of the local planning committee!

Hoping to dig up dirt on Ray that could win the battle for the Street, Abi’s intrigued when she sees him at his hotel with Susan.

‘Abi is already sure Ray has been bribing people but she has no proof,’ says Sally Carman, who plays her. ‘She is frustrated that the other residents seem to be ready to throw in the towel.’

Footage

Abi hides behind the hotel bar and secretly records Ray and Susan as they talk about their dodgy dealings and unknowingly incriminate themselves!

Convinced she’s finally found a way to get the better of him, Abi confronts Ray with the footage and blackmails him.

Abi tells him that he must confess to the attempted rape of Bistro employee Faye, or she will go public with the incriminating evidence!

However, Abi is playing a dangerous game as evil Ray is not about to give up without a fight…

When Abi later confronts Ray behind the Rovers, she suddenly begins to feel dizzy and collapses to the ground! Has he poisoned her? Ray then grabs Abi’s phone and prepares to delete the damning footage…

With Abi unconscious, will Ray finish the job and silence her for ever?
