He also meets others who have been affected by similar experiences and explores the psychological impact on children who witness domestic abuse. ‘We’re not protecting young children enough and my story, unfortunately, is not a unique one,’ says Ian. ‘We’re creating a cycle of abuse, years of scars and trauma.’
