Liam and Leyla haven’t been particularly lucky in love over the years. But Leyla became convinced Liam was the man for her in the wake of his messy split with Bernice. Slowly but surely their relationship has blossomed.
And, now, Liam wants to put a ring on it and see Leyla become stepmum to his daughter Leanna.
However, David’s jealous girlfriend, Meena, almost ruins everything… ‘Liam’s looking to find the size of Leyla’s rings so he can propose perfectly,’ explains Jonny Mcpherson, who plays the doctor. ‘So he’s got David to sneak in while she’s having a shower and grab her ring.’
Leyla is none the wiser until Meena accuses Leyla, who was once in a relationship with
David, of trying to steal her man! David’s then forced to reveal what he’s been doing, which ruins the surprise completely. But all is not lost. ‘Liam proposes again,’ adds Roxy Shahidi, who plays Leyla. ‘It’s a very long speech. Leyla loves every minute and every word.’
