I’m taking my son!

Though there’s no love lost between Imran and Abi – who are co-parents of a baby following their one-night stand last year – they’re united in the fight to keep their son out of care.

Alfie’s birth has seen the pair lose everything. Abi’s marriage to Kev is done, Imran’s legal career is on the line and he’s been ditched by Toyah, who in turn has lost out on the chance to adopt Elsie as her life has been judged too turbulent.

With a judge having recently decided Alfie will reside in interim care once he’s out of hospital, recovering addict Abi and Imran are still battling to stop it. But Abi gets a blow she just wasn’t expecting this week, when Imran suddenly decides he wants to raise Alfie… with Toyah.

Emotional damage

But Imran’s fantasy of a family life with Toyah, who’s infertile and desperate to be a mum, could well remain just that.

After Elsie is taken away by the social worker, broken Toyah gets hammered and makes her angry feelings known…

‘All this is the ultimate betrayal – it is the most heartbreaking thing that could happen to Toyah,’ says Georgia Taylor, who plays her. ‘Nobody likes to be cheated on for a one-night stand.

But the fact that Imran’s actions have resulted in the one thing that she can’t give him hurts on another level.’

Clinging on to this one remaining good thing, Alfie, Imran asks Abi to move in with their son when he finds a new flat. But when Abi turns him down and Imran later learns Abi’s in possession of some serious drugs, he does his about-turn…

What will Toyah say when he asks her to reunite and raise Alfie with him?
