Are Chas and Cain about to lose their mum?

After finding out her cancer has spread, and having refused further treatment, Faith Dingle is now facing the inevitable.

When she struggles on a country walk with her daughter, Chas, and has to flag down a passing farmer to take them back to the village, it’s yet another painful reminder of Faith’s deteriorating health.

Faith’s given food for thought, however, when her palliative-care nurse tells her the important thing to focus on is dying with no regrets. So deciding she wants to make the most of the time she’s got left, Faith writes a list of things to do.

Her first wish is to have a big party before it’s too late, but when the nan announces her plans, her family are unnerved, especially Cain.

Fearing he’ll find it too upsetting, Cain’s reluctant to attend the bash and is left feeling awkward when his wife, Moira, unwittingly accepts the invitation on his behalf.

Panic!

As the guests arrive at The Woolpack, the karaoke machine is cranked up and Faith belts out a favourite tune. Before long, the party is in full swing. But the fun comes to a grinding halt when Faith suddenly collapses on the floor!

Faith is rushed to hospital and the Dingles face an anxious wait for news. When Paddy and Chas eventually get to see Faith, they’re distressed to find that’s she’s confused and claiming that she can’t see properly… Is this the end for the much-loved Dingle?
