AJ Odudu hosts a new hairdressing competition...
Get ready for some gravity-defying hairstyles worthy of the high-fashion catwalk in E4’s new eight-part competition The Big Blow Out. Presented by AJ Odudu, the series follows 11 up-and-coming hairdressers as they compete to become the first-ever The Big Blow Out champion, judged by award-winning stylists Lisa Farrall and Sam Mcknight.

But things get off to a disastrous start in the show’s opening Masterpiece round when stylist Darren’s giant heart made out of hair topples over, and AJ is left comforting a contestant who leaves the studio in tears over her catastrophic creation!
‘Viewers can expect a lot of drama and a lot of disasters. You’ll certainly see some bad hair days,’ says AJ.
‘Even though I wasn’t allowed to help them physically, I was a shoulder to cry on when things got tough. I was also there to lighten the mood because I know how much pressure these types of competitions can be.’
Luckily for AJ, the show gave her the chance to try out some new hairstyles…
‘Throughout the show, I got to be really experimental – I even rocked a green mullet,’ she says. ‘If nothing else, just tune in to
