Simon heads to a remote region of the Amazon, where he meets the Waiapi people, whose traditional way of life is under threat from logging and mining, before going to Manaus, at the heart of the Amazon. Simon then travels to Rio de Janeiro and visits a high-tech control room that protects the city from disasters such as floods.
