I was thrilled to hear about Channel 5 series Digging for Treasure, but why was host Dan Walker so clap-happy? He applauded at the start, every time we met someone new, and after the adverts. We’d have had time for more artefacts if the clapping had been curtailed! June Fitz Gibbon, Lincolnshire
After enduring ITV’S Fastest Finger First with Anita Rani, I can only commend the participants on their stamina. It is the mostconvoluted game show invented! One contestant went through to the final section after a long and arduous series of questions, and was then joined to fight it out for a chance to face Jeremy Clarkson by a guy who answered just a few questions.
