Viva Mexico!
The bakers tackle some spicy challenges…
It’s The Great British Bake Off’s first-ever Mexican Week and judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith ask the bakers to serve up three traditional Mexican dishes.
First up is a sweet bread known as pan dulce for the Signature, then, for the Technical, the contestants try their hand at Mexican street food, and for the Showstopper, they have to make a delicious milky tres leches cake.
But who will get a Mexicanwave goodbye? ‘Mexican Week upped the chilli content and Paul likes more chilli than I do,’ says Dame Prue. ‘But it was terrific fun!’
