NEW My Cornish adventure!

Comedian Susan Calman explores the south-west tip of the UK

-

Susan Calman and her trusty camper van are back on the road as the presenter once more samples the various delights Britain has to offer.

And for this new series of Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out, the star is starting her epic adventure on the Cornish coast.

‘I absolutely love this place,’ says Susan. ‘It’s simply stunning.’

Her journey begins at Lizard Point, where she takes to the water to explore the scenery by kayak. However, it’s not the gentle paddle experience she was expecting…

Then it’s off to Penzance, where Susan joins a group of synchronised swimmers as they practise in the outdoor lido.

‘Synchronised swimming always reminds me of some of the old glamorous Hollywood movies, and I can’t resist a bit of glamour,’ she says before taking the plunge.

After a ferry trip to Fowey, Susan gets to tick the incredible Eden Project off her bucket list, facing her fears to climb 160ft up a staircase to reach the rainforest lookout!

Then, in Falmouth, Susan takes part in a ‘rock-pool battle’ before joining a shanty group in a special singalong.

‘By the time I’m finished in this life, there will not be an inch of Cornwall I’ve not visited,’ she says. ‘And I’ve loved every second of it.’
