As DS Niamh Mcgovern and DCS Jackie Twomey appear to close in on Brannick, American gangster Ryan Savage wants his gold – which Brannick and Olivia Foyle recently uncovered – and uses Brannick’s daughter, Izzy, to get it. Can Brannick protect the thing that’s more precious to him than any gold? And will he keep his identity as serial killer Goliath secret? ‘Brannick feels empowered but, along with that, comes a terrible isolation and guilt,’ says James Nesbitt, who plays him. ‘It’s about knowing how to deal with loved ones like Izzy and when to turn the switch of manipulation.’
