Harry Styles stars as gay police officer Tom Burgess, who hides his sexuality in 1950s Britain – when homosexuality was criminalised. Tom marries teacher Marion Taylor (Emma Corrin) but falls in love with museum curator Patrick Hazlewood (David Dawson), and the secret threatens to destroy them all, in this Brighton-set drama. Linus Roache, Gina Mckee and Rupert Everett play the trio as pensioners 40 years later.
