The Children in Need team return for more fundraising fun…

Jason Manford is the new boy on the presenting team as he joins Ade Adepitan, Chris Ramsey, Alex Scott and Mel Giedroyc to host this year’s fundraising extravaganza. Expect the usual mix of comedy, music, celebs guests and, of course, stories about the children and young people the charity supports! Among the entertainment highlights are Bradley Walsh hosting a children’s edition of Blankety Blank and a The Weakest Link special with Romesh Ranganathan.
After last year’s show brought in nearly £40m in donations, Children in Need is back to raise money for worthy causes this Friday night, and the team are hoping viewers will be generous with their time and their money once again!
‘Every pound people give this year will count for double, because it means so much more,’ says host Ade Adepitan. ‘There will be people giving who are struggling themselves. We don’t want to put pressure on anyone, so only give if you can – the important thing is to have a fun night!’
Bursting with pride
Ade will be joined on the presenting team by Mel Giedroyc, Alex Scott, Chris Ramsey and, for the first time, Jason Manford.
‘I feel utter pride when I think of Children in Need. Considering the length of time it’s been helping kids and the positivity it brings to so many, I’m so happy to be involved,’ says Mel.
