June and Luke seek out intel on Gilead’s plans for their daughter

-

Sunday, 9pm, BBC1 Drama

There’s a more in-depth look at the personal side of Jock (Alfie Allen) this week as we see him back at home with sweetheart Mirren Barford (Isobel Laidler), which comes as a welcome relief from the usual blood and bullets in the Sahara! However, with the story moving into December 1941 and each mission becoming more perilous, these cherished memories are more poignant than ever for Jock.

With their daughter now enrolled in one of Gilead’s ‘wife schools’, June and Luke embark upon a perilous mission to gather intelligence on Hannah’s training this week.

Armed with a map and a secret password, the couple venture into No Man’s Land for a risky rendezvous with a gun-toting

Guardian.

But when he ushers them to a disused bowling alley in order to give them information, could it actually be a trap?

‘Hannah has always been the end goal,’ says Elisabeth Moss, who plays June. ‘There’s a side of June that wants to go back into Gilead, guns blazing, but she’s trying to keep her family safe.’
