Shock discovery!
Charity learns Chloe is pregnant, but will she find out Mack’s the father?
After going through the trauma of an ectopic pregnancy a few months ago, Charity and Mack clashed a week or two later when, against his better judgement, Mack broached the subject of them trying for another baby.
Charity, who had to have a termination, was furious and the pair ended up having a blazing row. Later, however, the couple made up when Charity told Mack that the idea wasn’t a complete no-no.
What she didn’t realise was that in the meantime, Mack had slept with Chloe!
Mack’s been hoping that his fling will never come out, but things have just got a bit more complicated because Chloe is secretly pregnant with his baby!
Chloe hasn’t told anyone about it so far apart from her mum, Kerry, but this week it becomes less of a secret when Charity finds out about the pregnancy…
Awkward encounter
‘Chloe goes to The Woolpack and orders an orange juice and Charity jokes, “You must be either really boring or you’re pregnant!”’ explains Jessie Elland, who plays Chloe. ‘And Chloe’s expression just gives it away.’
And things get even more awkward when Charity asks who the father is…
‘Obviously, Chloe has to lie,’ says Jessie. ‘It’s awful. She’s squirming!’
Although Charity promises not to reveal Chloe’s secret, she’s soon sharing the news with Mack, who has to hide his shock and panic that his one-night-stand could be having his baby.
Later, after Chloe confirms that the baby is his and that she’s keeping it, a despairing Mack decides that it’s time he came clean to his other half…
But when he goes to confess all to Charity, can he actually bring himself to tell her the truth?
