Moody, peevish and socially inept, Hailee Steinfeld’s 17-year-old is a mess, and the only person she can turn to for advice is her jaded teacher (a wonderfully droll Woody Harrelson). This smart, funny comedy brilliantly captures the turbulence of adolescence and Steinfeld is terrific. (2016, 15)
