Get ready for savage twists and turns in a 12-part game of deception hosted by Claudia Winkleman. The 22 contestants, including a magician, cheerleading coach, author, pensioner, BMX athlete, spa therapist and property developer, must decide who they can trust. On arriving at a grand Scottish castle, a small group are secretly selected by Claudia to be ‘traitors’, after which the remaining ‘faithfuls’ get eliminated by being ‘murdered’ by the traitors. Meanwhile, the traitors can be ‘banished’ if they’re successfully outed. Working out who’s who is a nightmare and it’s absolutely no holds barred, as the winner could walk away with £120,000!

Hosted by Strictly’s Claudia Winkleman, the series sees 22 strangers invited to an estate in the Scottish Highlands, where they take part in a variety of challenges to add money to their prize pot. But among the players are three ‘Traitors’, who meet each night to ‘murder’ one of the other contestants and eliminate them from the game.
‘It’s a game of wit,’ says Claudia. ‘I’ve never seen anything like it. The missions are good and the people are nice!’
The other players – the ‘Faithful’ – will be monitoring their fellow contestants for signs of suspicious activity. When summoned to the ‘round table’, all the players must vote to banish a contestant they think is a Traitor – but will they eliminate a fellow Faithful?
Ruthless strategy
‘A lot of people came for the thrill and to be on telly, then that changed,’ says Claudia. ‘All of a sudden, everybody’s playing a game. There’s double bluffs – and triple bluffs!’
At the end, the surviving players share the prize money if they are all Faithful.
But if any Traitors remain, they will steal the lot. And you might be shocked by who you root for…
‘I surprised myself – I was with the Traitors!’ admits Claudia. ‘But then, I was also with the Faithful. ‘I knew too much, so I couldn’t get too close to them. Normally I’m just there to read out loud and make sure they get snacks – here, I had to be slightly distant!’
