Fantastic FEASTS!

Jamie Oliver dishes up some fuss-free treats perfect for a pre-christmas party...

-

Serving up a delicious spread in the run-up to Christmas doesn’t have to be hard work – and to prove it, Jamie Oliver’s back with a selection of easy-tofollow recipes that offer maximum flavour with minimal washing-up!

‘The days before Christmas are perfect for inviting friends round for a festive shindig,’ says Jamie. ‘All I want for Christmas is to give you a stress-free party menu. This is about getting fun, festive food on the table, with all of the frills but none of the fuss.’

In the first of this two-part series, Jamie shows us how to make a delicious clementine roast duck, served with sticky hoisin noodles and seasonal greens, which are prepared in the same dish as the duck to soak up the cooking juices.

Festive flavour

‘What I love about these one-pan wonders is we’re not losing any flavour,’ says Jamie. ‘These braise down in all the lovely fatty bits from the duck – it’s going to be amazing.’

For those following a vegetarian or vegan diet, Jamie’s got a veggie filo pie full of Christmassy flavours and great for sharing. His party menu also includes a budget-friendly recipe for Christmas pasta, a tasty pear-andgingerbread cake, and a beef short-rib dish where the oven does the hard work!

‘There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking cheap cuts and making them the most beautiful dishes ever,’ says Jamie.

‘It’s like the ugly duckling becoming the swan!’
