Your guide to the week’s World Cup action
The World Cup reaches the knockout stage this week with all eight second-round matches and the first pair of quarter-finals broadcast live on BBC1 or ITV1. If England or Wales finish top of Group B, they will play the runners-up from Group A – one of Ecuador, the Netherlands, hosts Qatar or Senegal – on Sunday evening (kick-off 7pm) in Al Khor. The runners-up in Group B will start the knockout phase against the Group A winners on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm)
