Daisy’s break-in!

She’s on a dangerous mission to get Jenny back in the Rovers…

-

Now that Daisy’s split with Daniel, she’s staying at Rita’s flat with her ex-stepmum Jenny as their former home, the Rovers Return, has long been closed and boarded up.

Having been looking at buying the pub with her ex-fiancé, Daisy decides there’s nothing stopping her and Jenny from doing the same. Apart from the small matter of money, of course.

However, Daisy has come up with a solution. She reckons Jenny is due some compensation for the hell she suffered thanks to her now dead serial-killer ex, Stephen Reid, and, as such, is owed a cut of the money he stole from Carla’s factory. But so far, no one’s unearthed the missing cash, nor cracked his password-protected files on his laptop.

Daisy, however, is determined not to give up on the pot of gold. Believing Stephen’s journal could reveal all, she sets out to take it from Audrey. So when the Platts eat at the Bistro, Daisy swipes David’s keys and lets herself into No.8!

While Daisy’s busy doing her thing, Jenny asks Carla for a loan so she can apply for a mortgage on the pub. Will the factory boss decide to help out?

Later, there’s progress. Excited Jenny and Daisy report to pals Brian and Mary that they’ve had a loan approved. All that stands in their way is a round of sealed bids. Will they win back their home and livelihood… or lose out?

‘The circumstances of the pub becoming open again are all tied up with Stephen’s legacy,’ teases Corrie boss Iain Macleod. ‘Somebody will do something that is at best naughty, at worst slightly criminal, to get their hands on the keys to the pub and reopen it.’
