Here comes TROUBLE!

There are highs and lows for Daisy as Daniel’s ex Bethany returns…

-

Huge news puts smiles on the faces of Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley, who learn their bid to buy the Rovers has been successful!

With Jenny having had a terrible year and Daisy having split up with Daniel, it comes as a welcome relief. And it’s all hands to the pump to get the place ready for a New Year’s Eve knees-up…

‘Daisy has lost her love, her hero, her little family and, in turn, her future. So the Rovers failing is not an option. She’s very ready to have something she’s proud of and something she can call her own,’ says Charlotte Jordan, who plays the barmaid.

For a hot minute, it seems as if the good times are on a roll for Daisy. Daniel asks to talk, leaving her hopeful that he’s willing to give things another go…

Boosted to be back where she belongs, Daisy slips out of the pub’s party, hoping to snatch a New Year’s kiss with Daniel, who just happens to have run into a very significant old flame… Bethany Platt! As the fireworks ring in 2024, fireworks of a very different kind are going off at Daniel’s flat…

The next day, Sarah’s stunned when her daughter calls by, prompting a family gathering at Speed Daal to celebrate. The shine is taken off the Platts’ reunion, however, when Jenny reveals how Bethany spent the night in Daniel’s bed!

‘David says Bethany’s only been back five minutes and is already causing problems,’ laughs Lucy Fallon, who returns as Bethany. ‘But it’s unintentional – Bethany’s not come back to cause problems for people. Something has happened in London that has kind of forced her to return but she’s not revealing that straight away.’

What will jealous Daisy do to even the scores with her rival?
