HAVE YOUR SAY

Not Wight!

Over the last few months we’ve seen Jane Mcdonald doing travel programmes about Japan and the Canary Islands, while other celebrities are constantly travelling to exotic locations all over the globe. Yet all Alan Titchmarsh gets is a chance to narrate Channel 5 series Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South. I think it’s time he started looking for a new agent!

No weigh

I think the format for C4’s Around the World in 80 Weighs was pretty questionable. Weight gain through poor food choices and lack of exercise is not an easy thing to fix. You have to consciously make a pact with your brain and then make lifestyle changes, but aim for realistic goals and don’t beat yourself up if it takes a while. Having once been addicted to sweet treats and learned healthier habits, I don’t think flying overweight people across the globe will help much.

Special storyline

I would like to express my gratitude to the Eastenders writers for the Alfie Moon prostate cancer storyline. It was an accurate and emotional story, which will be recognised by many affected by it, and brought back poignant memories for me. It also showed the importance of asking for help, advice and guidance from your friends and family. I drew strength from watching this one

– it was special.

Masterful drama

Masters of the Air on Apple TV+ is a fantastic drama about the US airmen who took part in the bombing raids over Germany during World War Two. The scenes depicting the mid-air battles are spectacular. I also think British star

Callum Turner is great as American pilot Major John ‘Bucky’ Egan. I can’t wait to watch the rest. M. Jones, Leeds
