Ryan saves Daisy

She’s stunned when he swoops in following a humiliating ordeal in the Rovers…

-

Daisy Midgeley is on a roller coaster of emotions this week, but will her ex-lover Ryan Connor’s sudden return from Glasgow stabilise her mood?

Her hairy week gets off to a tricky start at the Chariot Square Hotel, where she meets with a rep about getting Newton and Ridley back on sale at the Rovers. She succeeds but there’s a problem attached. Carla, who’s also at the hotel, is wondering why Daisy’s claiming to own half the pub.

Can she and her stepmum Jenny – who bought the Rovers with the money Stephen Reid took from Carla’s factory – come up with a convincing cover story?

Ploughing on, Daisy shifts her focus to organising Rita’s birthday bash and is chuffed when Daniel asks her to look after Bertie. Hopeful, Daisy admits to Glenda that she wants Daniel back.

Party bombshell

‘She hopes he will eventually forgive her and they can pick up where they left off,’ says Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy. ‘She’s giving him some space to explore this new relationship with Bethany, but I don’t think she’s taking it seriously.’

At Rita’s do, Daisy’s shattered when Mary accidentally drops a bombshell on the gathering. To Daisy’s horror, an article about her affair with Ryan, written by Bethany, has been shared with the pub.

‘It validates everything Daisy initially thought about Bethany – that she’s a snake who is only out for herself and doesn’t care who she hurts… which sounds a bit like Daisy,’ says Charlotte. ‘Maybe they have more in common than they think!’ A furious Daisy gets Bethany the sack, and as Daniel enters the row, he learns another nasty secret about his ex-fiancée’s betrayal.

Back at home, feeling awful, Daisy’s stunned when Ryan calls in… Is he single now? Will they finally give things a go? whattowatch.com/coronation-street itv.com/coronationstreet
