Caleb DEAD?

As Ruby fights to win over her husband, it’s Nate who seals his fate…

-

Relations between the Miligans and Dingles couldn’t be worse right now. Everything Caleb did to repair his bond with his long-lost family was ruined when his affair with Tracy, his nephew Nate’s wife, was exposed. He’s desperate to put it all right, but every time Caleb makes progress, his wife Ruby mucks it up.

‘She’s terrified of losing him, so she sees them as a threat,’ explains Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby. ‘Instead of being clever about it and befriending them, she keeps kicking out against them. Caleb can’t understand why she can’t get on board.’

Twist of fate

The last straw came when she accidentally elbowed Chas, who’s recovering from a double mastectomy. This week, Ruby tries to win back her disgusted husband’s affections, targeting the Dingles as a way to his heart.

Things don’t start well when Cain smashes up the air-fryer presents his sister-in-law has given them. Changing tack, Ruby then tries an impromptu party.

Cain seethes when he’s tricked into going to her do at The Woolpack, but as time ticks on, things start to look promising – until Ruby drinks too much and another fight starts! Cain’s unimpressed when Caleb defends Ruby, who hopes it’s a sign of his commitment. The next day, in an ironic twist of fate, it’s Nate who’s left holding all the cards for Ruby when her husband is suddenly stricken down in pure agony. As Caleb calls out, pleading for help, it’s his betrayed nephew who’s nearby…

Will Nate walk away and let the man who destroyed his marriage suffer and fight for his life? Why is Caleb in such terrible pain? Is Ruby about to be widowed?
