Tips for your trip from Joseph Fox of the Hyatt Regency London − The Churchill.

Your concierge is there to help. From getting into Buckingham Palace to finding the perfect afternoon tea, Joseph Fox, of Hyatt Regency London − The Churchill, reveals how to make the most of your visit.

1Make sure you get the best from your concierge − don’t be afraid to ask Contact your concierge before you arrive, so they can tailor your stay to suit your needs.

2We can get the hottest tickets in town The most popular request from visitors in August is for tickets to visit The Queen’s state rooms at Buckingham Palace (below), which are only open for a short period every year (from July until 28 September).

3You can do London in a day If you want to cram in all the main sights of the city, I would recommend starting the day with a ride on a hop on-hop off bus tour of London. Try to stay on for the full circuit (which lasts for just over three hours), as that way you get to see virtually all of the capital’s famous landmarks and attractions. I’d suggest ticking off which places you would like to see more of and returning to them using your still-valid bus ticket.

4The Tube is the best way to get around Without a doubt, the Tube (Underground or subway) is the best way to travel around the city. It’s quick, easy and an absolute institution. You may not pass by some of the famous landmarks, but the Tube certainly cuts out the sometimes hectic traffic on the roads above it. Also, where possible and weather permitting, there is no better way to enjoy all that this great city has to offer than by taking a leisurely stroll to your

chosen destination.

5Whatever you do, you must have an afternoon tea No visit is complete without enjoying an afternoon tea, a quintessential English experience. At Hyatt Regency London − The Churchill, we serve fabulous pastries and sandwiches against the backdrop of beautiful Portman Square. It’s unforgettable.
