Talk to us! We are here to help solve your problems. I once had a group of fashion designers who asked me to find a model. They wanted someone to wear several items of clothing so they could see how it looked. ‘Actually,’ one said, ‘the clothes might fit you, can you model a few bits for us?’ So there I was in a hotel suite walking up and down in next season’s men’s collection. I wouldn’t have been seen dead in any of it, but I was happy to help!
2 Visit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park No visit to London in December would be complete without a visit to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. Entry is free and a wander past the fairground rides, the child-friendly Santa Land (including Santa’s grotto) or through the Christmas markets is a must. Plus, treat yourself or young ones to a pantomime that’s playing over the festive season.
Take a trip to Hampstead
To escape the hustle and bustle of the West End, I head for Hampstead Village and Hampstead Heath in north London. Stroll around Kenwood House and the Heath, then browse the boutique stores in the village before enjoying a cosy dinner.
4 Visit Holiday Inn London King’s Cross for great Indian food Our restaurant, Rasa Maricham, under the guidance of award-winning chef Das Sreedharan, is fantastic. The dishes, from Kerala in South India, are milder and sweeter than your usual Indian fare. The food is often served on banana leaves and is accompanied by chutneys. Delicious! 5 Don’t leave London without...
