A children’s classic
The children’s novel TheWindintheWillows is being brought to life at the London Palladium (from 16 Jun). Julian Fellowes – creator of TV’s Downton Abbey – says: ‘This new adaptation has been such a joy to write. I’ve no doubt our actors are going to have the time of their lives taking these memorable characters on the journey from page to stage.’ Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, the musical stars comedian Rufus Hound as Toad, a loveable rascal with a penchant for fast cars. After a crash, Toad ends up in prison before escaping and continuing his madcap adventures much to the chagrin of his pals Badger, Ratty and Mole.
