Males aged over 20

The right-hand page is mostly dedicated to “males upwards of twenty years of age” and their occupation­s. Column 9 gives details of individual trades. The final two columns concern male and female household servants of any age.

Names

The name of the householde­r of each family living at the address.

Houses

This shows whether the property was inhabited, uninhabite­d or being built.

Males and females

The total numbers of all males and females in each household.
