While I’ve focused on individual archives this month, many upload photos to image sharing sites. The National Archives, for example, has photos on Pinterest ( uk.pinterest.com/ uknatarchives), Instagram ( instagram .com/nationalarchivesuk) and HistoryPin (see p53). Leading the way is Flickr, which allows you to follow accounts and explore collections by photostream or themed albums. TNA has over 19,000 images and via groups you can upload your own pictures of its material. Others include East Sussex libraries ( flickr.com/photos/escchistoricalpics), Tyne & Wear Archives ( flickr.com/photos/ twm_news) and the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland ( flickr.com/photos/proni).
