Dating a 1900ish Sunday school outing group photo bit.ly/ 2qSKSXN I believe this was taken around 1900, probably in Kent. It won’t be possible to work out the location, but any help dating it more precisely? You wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of the two older ladies in the front row would you? GClark40 Finding siblings bit.ly/ 2pW60yA My great grandfather was James Walker, born in Auchtermuchty in July 1855. His parents were John Walker and Janet Bullions, married in Moneydie, Perthshire, in 1852. James’ younger brother Leonard was born in 1857. John died in 1857.

I found James and Leonard in the 1861 census. James (aged five) is listed underneath an Alexander Walker, who is aged seven. Slightly higher up the list is an Andrew Walker, aged eight, who was born in Cupar. I cannot find a record of his birth. The other boys were born in Auchtermuchty. I don’t know if Andrew is their brother or not. I cannot find another Walker birth registered in Auchtermuchty around the correct time. Is there any way I can find out other siblings’ names? ronariker William Isaac Locker bit.ly/ 2pmD1js I’m trying to find out about William Isaac Locker before his marriage to Mary Simpson in 1886, Liverpool. William is found on the 1891, 1901 and 1911 census with his wife and children living in Liverpool. He was born between 1860- 65 in Manchester (possibly Gorton). I can’t find him before his marriage. On his marriage certificate it says his father was also William, a labourer. Hilhouse Help me find John and Eliza Price bit.ly/ 2pY0U2R My great grandfather Isaac George Price, was born at 13 Church Street, Paddington, Middlesex, on 5 January 1844. His parents are listed as John and Eliza (née Cooke), with John’s occupation shown as mariner. Isaac emigrated to New Zealand in 1863.

I cannot find any evidence of John and Eliza’s marriage nor any plausible entry for them in a UK census.

My grandfather told me that John was born in Wales and became a master mariner. The Mercantile Navy List of 1880 records a John Price achieving an OC certificate at Liverpool in 1860 (certificate no. 877), but since I don’t know where or when John was born, I cannot determine if the listing relates to him. kiwi1948 Liverpool Welsh Presbyterian records bit.ly/ 2pcq00p I’m trying to find baptism records for Welsh Presbyterian churches in Liverpool. My great great grandfather Matthew Smith moved to Liverpool from Monmouthshire and married Sarah Evans (who was also from Monmouthshire) at St Mark’s church on 25 August 1872. My great grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Smith born 28 January 1873. I can’t find them on Ancestry so any help would be gratefully received. cheerily
