.co.uk, this large Victorian directory provides details of tradesmen in Sheffield and the surroundin­g areas, including Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.

The fully searchable resource also covers several towns outside Yorkshire, including Gainsborou­gh in Lincolnshi­re and Matlock in Derbyshire.

Fully searchable, the resource lists baptisms, marriages and burials recorded in the Church of St Peter and Paul (now Sheffield Cathderal), dating back to the mid-16th century.
