The Bri­tish As­so­ci­a­tion for Ceme­ter­ies in South Asia, in part­ner­ship with the South Asia Cen­tre of the Lon­don School of Eco­nomics, is run­ning a se­ries of lec­tures ex­plor­ing the role of the Bri­tish in In­dia. The lec­ture on 14 Jan­uary, ‘Em­press: Queen Vic­to­ria and In­dia’ by Miles Tay­lor, will be fol­lowed by Stu­art Flin­ders’ ‘Dark Hero: Ni­chol­son of Delhi’ on 11 Fe­bru­ary, Alex von Tun­zel­mann’s ‘End of Em­pire’ on 11 March and Sir Tom Devine’s ‘Scot­land’s Em­pire: The Scots

in Bri­tish In­dia’ on 8 April. There will be a wine re­cep­tion after each lec­ture. £8.50 per lec­ture (£6 for mem­bers of BACSA, £5.50 for stu­dents).
